The heroes of the stage always get the limelight, but we think it’s time to put a little focus on the underdog – the villains of the story. Tonight’s Session is all about the bad guys (and girls) of music theatre, with all songs coming from a character normally looked at as the villain. We often forget that behind many great stories is an equally amazing villain: think Scar, Hyde, Audrey II, Ursula, Judge Turpin, Bill Sikes, The Trunchbull, Cladwell B Cladwell… not all of them may be the root of all evil, they all have a markedly evil streak – and for once, we’re ready to celebrate that.
So prepare your witch’s cackle, your giant’s stomp and general maniacal laughter as we spend the night examining what it takes to be a villain, and how they help drive a story to its (usually) happier conclusion. Muahahaha.

Lindsay has performed over the past decade in both musical theatre and cabaret, having enjoyed success in various genres: classical roles such as John Brooke in Little Women (The Musical) (Therry Dramatic Society 2013) and Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods (Northern Light Theatre Company 2012); to contemporary roles such as Abraham in the Adelaide premiere of Altar Boyz (Davine Interventionz 2013), Sonny Malone in Xanadu (The Musical) (Davine Interventionz 2014), George in The Drowsy Chaperone (Hills Musical Company 2013), Kyle the UPS Delivery guy in Legally Blonde (HMC 2014) and most recently Elliott Garfield in The Goodbye Girl (Therry 2015). Lindsay has also appeared in countless other shows, favourites including Urinetown, 42nd Street, Crazy for You & Les Misérables. Most recently he premiered in Adelaide the role of Fabrizio for Davine Interventionz's 2016 Adelaide Fringe Show, The Light In The Piazza.
Aside from musical theatre, Lindsay has a keen passion for cabaret, having written, co-produced and performed at numerous cabaret events over the years. Stepping out side his usual genre, Lindsay played the role of Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby (old sport), produced by Independent Theatre.
Adam has been involved in the theatrical scene for many years. He is a co-founder of SINGular Productions and produced I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Fringe Festival, 2007), Elegies: A Song Cycle, Different Fields and It’s a Dad Thing: The Musical. He is currently developing a new Australian opera with State Opera of South Australia titled, Innocence. Adam recently performed the role of Father in Davine Productions' Violet in 2017 Adelaide Fringe.
Andrew James Crispe
Andrew is an established freelance performer and vocal coach who has performed professionally in and around Adelaide. He has been a member of the State Opera of SA’s Chorus since 2009. Andrew‘s first foray into the world of Music Theatre was in 2000, when he was encouraged to audition for the Gilbert & Sullivan Society’s back-to-back production of HMS Pinafore and Trial By Jury, and since then he has not looked back!
Andrew won his first leading role in 2006, and has gone on to play a large number of leading and supporting roles throughout Adelaide’s community theatre. Andrew has been nominated for Best Male Performance by the Critics Circle Awards for his role as Don Lockwood in Singin’ In The Rain, and by the Adelaide Theatre Guide for the same role, as well as his portrayal of The Beast in Disney's Beauty And The Beast. For one of his most recent productions Andrew won the TASA Best Male Performance Award for his portrayal of Edward Bloom in BIG FISH – a show which also won the TASA MusiCal Award. Andrew co-wrote and performed in the sold-out season of Villain-Ville: A Musical Exploration of Villainy and Evil in the 2015 Fringe Festival. His most recent appearances this year include a return to the role of Curly McLain (for the third time) in an outdoor production of Oklahoma (On A Farm) with Emma Knights Productions, The Preacher in Davine Interventionz production of Violet, a return to the role of the Major General in Emma Knights Productions’ fourth season of Pirates On The Popeye, and lastly as Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar.
Andrew played the role of Marius in both seasons of Les Misérables with the Gilbert & Sullivan’s Society in 2008 and 2009, and he is overjoyed to be coming back for yet another season with them only this time as the infamous Javert – a role he has coveted since he was little!
Brady is passionate about the arts, both as a performer and a teacher. He recently returned from a two year stint in London where he played Don Lockwood in Singin' in the Rain for MMT, earning him a NODA award nomination, and Jack in Reefer Madness for SEDOS. Back home, Brady has performed the roles of Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde for HMC, Bobby Child in Therry’s award winning production of Crazy for You (ATG nomination), Willard Hewitt in MBM’s Footloose (ATG Award), Link Larkin in Hairspray (MBM), Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone (HMC) and Will Parker in Oklahoma! (MS Society). Brady also played Matthew in Altar Boyz (Davine Interventionz) and appeared in Homemade Fusion as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. It’s been 10 years since Brady sang Mama Says in Footloose and he is thrilled to perform on home soil again at Broadway Sessions this month!
Cailene Kilcoyne came to Adelaide from San Diego, California. She has performed regionally around the States as well as internationally on a cruise ship. She is super excited to announce that she will be playing the role of "Marcy" in Emma Knights upcoming production of I Love You Because, which will be her Australian debut!
Casmira Hambledon loves stories, diverse and supportive communities, wigs, glitter, and belting as a way to deal with having too many emotions. Luckily she found theatre. Highlights have included directing and choreographing for Peter Combe’s Adelaide Fringe Shows 2013-2015, performing the role of ‘Violet’ in Davine Productions’ Violet (for which she won the TASA award for ‘Best Female Performance 2017’) and 'Fantine' in the G&S Society's production of Les Misérables (for which she was nominated for a Curtain Call: ‘Best Female Performance 2018’). In 2018 she played 'Woman 2' in Edges with Irregular Productions, 'Shelby' in Steel Magnolias with IpSkip, 'The Lady of the Lake' in Spamalot with Marie Clark, and the ‘Sour Kangaroo’ in Seussical with Northern Light. Most recently Casmira played nine characters in Judge Jackie: Disorder in the Court with Davine Productions at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe Festival.
I have two arms and feet. But my feet are not at the end of my arms. That would just be plain silly. I like to sing, especially in other people's showers. But not while showering - that would just be weird. I have been singing since before fire, but not long after the wheel. I trained under a number of singing teachers but as a result of claustrophobia I found it better to stand next them instead. As a child I would spontaneously sing in class, as an accountant I would spontaneously sing in the office. I was soon sent back to class. I love chocolate.
When David is not performing in local musical theatre and cabaret, you can catch him busking at Adelaide's beaches and surrounding suburbs with his ukulele, performing puppets for children, and enjoying singalongs at old folks homes. His recent credits include playing Peter Allen in the Met's Boy from Oz, Princeton in Matt Byrne Media's Avenue Q. as well as leads in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for Opus, Little Shop of Horrors for Northern Light Theatre Company, and the local cabaret showcases Sing on Through Tomorrow and Homemade Fusion.
David recently played the role of Denny Doherty in the Davine Interventionz sell out season production of Flowerchildren – The Mamas and Papas Story after performing in Davine's 2013 production of Altar Boyz.
21-year-old Dylan Rufus has been in the South Australian theatre community since 2011. He has assumed many roles in the theatre: audio-visual design and technician, stagehand and stage manager, musician and musical director, actor, writer and composer—his recently showcased work in the University of South Australia’s self-written production of Behind Closed Doors. Dylan’s onstage work has seen him in musicals such as Grease, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Spring Awakening; and offstage work in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Antigone, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, and Beauty and the Beast.
2018 has seen Dylan in the Adelaide Fringe: portraying Orin Scrivello D.D.S. in Adelaide Theatre Academy’s Little Shop of Horrors, Newcomer in Hills Musical Company's Avenue Q, and was part of the original cast of Emma Knights' Production Buffy Kills Edward playing Giles/Angel/Dr Cullen, which was featured in the Melbourne Fringe in September; and also playing Slim/Cord Elam in Emma Knights’ Oklahoma!.
Outside of the theatre, Dylan has completed an MBAA Bachelor of Arts, through the University of South Australia, and an Associate Performer Diploma in Guitar, through Australia and New Zealand Cultural Arts Ltd (ANZCA), and will continue to study a Postgraduate Master in Teaching (Secondary) through UniSA, and both an Associate Performer Diploma in Pianoforte and an Associate Teacher Diploma through ANZCA.
Eloise Quinn-Valentine is known in the Adelaide musical theatre community by a number of names including 'Eloise QV', and the more enigmatic 'Boise Q'. Since the age of four, she has performed in choirs, musicals and at events with local companies such as Davine Interventionz, Emma Knights Productions, IpSkip Productions, Adelaide Youth Theatre, Urban Myth, Gravity and Mitcham Dance, Theatre Bugs and Young Adelaide Voices. Eloise has also performed abroad in the role of Betty in The Crucible while on exchange at Royal Holloway, University of London in 2017.
She most recently appeared on stage in IpSkip Productions’ Charlotte’s Web in the role of Wilbur, and in Davine Interventionz' production of It's Only Life with John Bucchino in the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival. Eloise is pursuing studies in English literature at Flinders University while simultaneously incorporating her passion for storytelling into musical theatre.
Harry Nguyen is usually known as the ‘Krispy Kreme’ guy, mainly because he brings donuts to any shows that he is apart of. Falling in love with theatre from his first show in 2013 (High School Musical, AYT), Harry has immersed himself in shows including Hairspray (AYT), Fame (Marie Clark), Into the Woods (AYT), Rent (Marie Clark), and Thoroughly Modern Millie (G&S). Harry is currently working towards getting into theatre schools, but in the meantime you can catch him working at Krispy Kreme and giving free glazed donuts to anyone he knows.
In 2018, Jared has performed as Raoul in the Gilbert & Sullivan Society's Phantom of the opera; Buddy in the Hills Musical Company's Sideshow; and with John Bucchino in Davine Interventionz's It's Only Life. Jared became a member of the State Opera Chorus in 2018, which saw him perform in The Merry Widow and Die Meistersinger Von Nurnberg.
Jared began performing in Adelaide musicals in 2008 in the Met's Shout and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society's HMS Pinafore. Since then he has performed in multiple musicals including Therry's Fiddler on the Roof; G&S' Les Misérables, Pirates of Penzance, Mikado, Orpheus in the Underworld, Yeoman of the Guard, and The Gondoliers; Met's My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, CATS, The King & I; and Little Miss World Media's Ordinary Days. He trained at the Elder Conservatorium under Robert Dawe and Patrick Power.
Having been singing since the age of 5, Jordan has been involved in music for almost his entire life. He has been involved in many choirs, musicals and other music events throughout his time at school, such as the Generations in Jazz festival, playing Kurt in The Sound of Music, and Jesus in Godspell. Now at University, Jordan seeks to involve himself further in the music scene in Adelaide.
Kate started theatre at age 15 in Northern Light Theatre Company’s productions of Once Upon a Mattress followed by A Fractured G & S Trilogy, from which she was hooked! At age 16 Kate’s first Principle role was “Dorothy” in The Wizard of Oz (NLTC), for which she was first nominated for Best Female Performance by the Adelaide Theatre Guide. Kate continued with the roles “Liesl” in The Sound of Music and “Annie Golden” in Leader of the Pack, before playing “Karen” in The Boy from Oz (The Met), “Demeter” in Cats (Marie Clark), “Cinderella” in The Pumpkin (Curly Top Productions), and a Priest in Jesus Christ Superstar (G & S Society). Kate played “Shelley” in Hairspray (MBM) before returning to Northern Light Theatre Company to play the leading role of “Belle” in Beauty and the Beast.
Kate was awarded “Best Female Performance” by the Adelaide Theatre Guide for her role as “Kira” in Davine Interventionz production of Xanadu in the 2014 Adelaide Fringe. Kate most recently played the leading lady “Susan Lawrence” in Northern Light’s Production of BIG the Musical and will be returning to the stage next month to play the title role in Cinderella.
Kate was a regular extra on McLeod’s Daughters as a teenager and was part of the successful Fringe show Changing the Pace in 2011. She worked professionally as a singer for Night Train Theatre Restaurant in its final years but in the “real world” she works as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist.
Katie has played such roles in Adelaide as Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore, Lady Thiang in The King & I, Antonia in Man of La Mancha as well as Footnote in Pratchett Pieces for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. After moving to Melbourne in 2005 she played The Narrator in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lt. Janice Fury in M*A*S*H, Pamela Lukowski in The Full Monty and received Lyrebird Award nominations for playing Sister Amnesia in Nunsense & Nunsense 2. She also played one of her dream roles, The Witch in Into The Woods as well as the wonderful Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man. Since moving back to Adelaide in 2015, Katie has portrayed Margaret Johnson in The Light In The Piazza for the 2016 Adelaide Fringe Festival and Jen in John & Jen. In 2018 she has had the opportunity to worth with composer John Bucchino on his show It’s Only Life for the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival, and to be a part of the small ensemble cast of Godspell.
Katie has Musically Directed The Outsiders, All The New Stuff, Kids On Broadway, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Godspell, Little Shop Of Horrors, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, The Wedding Singer, Seussical The Musical, The Wizard Of Oz and, most recently Annie. She also had the opportunity to co-direct for the first time with Avenue Q in 2014.
Lisa has been singing since a very young age and has been receiving singing tuition since the age of 14 – most recently with David Gauci. Lisa has also been a vocal coach & singing teacher for almost 9 years and became involved in Adelaide community theatre around this time. Since then Lisa has gone on to be involved in many shows – some of her favourite roles include Ellie Greenwich in Leader of the Pack (NLTC, 2011), Mrs Potts in Disney's Beauty & the Beast (2011), Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray (MBM 2012) and most recently Mama Cass Elliott in the South Australian premiere of Flower Children (Davine Interventionz, 2015).
Lisa has also had the opportunity to be involved with performing in the Adelaide Fringe Festival (Michelle & the Gentleman's Club, 2013 & Flower Children, 2015) & several workshops & masterclasses during the Adelaide Cabaret Festival (with Jason Robert Brown, Adam Guettel, Matthew Robinson & Scott Evan Davis). She was also recently in New York this year in July and was lucky enough to have a one on one class with Adam Guettel (lyrical writter for Light in the Piazza). By night she is a performer but by day works as a midwife at the Women's & Children's Hospital, where the song of choice is 'Happy Birthday' for all the new babies she gets to welcome into the world!
Martin is a secondary school Music teacher and accompanist at Concordia College and has been the MD and repetiteur for over 20 local productions since his first foray into music theatre in 2011. In 2015, Martin launched his own company - Lydian Productions - which, in 2016, presented its debut production of Andrew Lippa's john and jen to critical acclaim, and is currently rehearsing its May 2018 production of Godspell, co-produced by Irregular Productions' very own Peter Johns. Martin has just finished working closely with Broadway composer John Bucchino on his revue It's Only Life with Davine Interventionz as part of the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival. Martin isn't a singer and therefore not entirely sure what he's doing here, but knows that David Gauci is somehow to blame for it.
Megan is a graduate of the Music Theatre program at the University of Ballarat and has been performing in theatre and cabaret in Adelaide and beyond for over fifteen years, including a two-year stint in the U.K., where she performed her show The Girl Who Won't Grow Up and premiered a new, as yet untitled piece, at the Pheasantry in London.
She has written and produced several cabarets and concerts, and produced the South Australian and amateur premiere of Matthew Robinson's Sing on Through Tomorrow in 2014. Favourite roles in amateur theatre have included Laurey in Oklahoma!, Phoebe in The Yeomen of the Guard, and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
In 2018 Megan premiered a new cabaret at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, climbed Rocky Mountains once more as a part of The Pirates of Penzance (on the Popeye!), directed the Australian Premiere of Buffy Kills Edward, a Musical Parody, and is playing Petra in A Little Night Music for the G&S Society and Carrie in Rules for Living with the Adelaide Repertory. And that's only the stuff that's confirmed!
Mim has been singing for as long as she can remember. She began drama lessons at Theatre Bugs at the age of 5, and was a student there for almost a decade. She began voice lessons with Kim Spargo in 2008 and musical theatre training with Patrick Lim in 2009, giving her the opportunity to perform in a number of youth productions, including playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical! Jr. (both with Swell Productions). She continued her theatre education at Pembroke School, playing the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2010 and studying High Level Theatre in the International Baccalaureate program from 2011-12 under the tutelage of Julianne English.
She is now heavily involved in the Adelaide amateur theatre scene, having worked companies such as the Hills Musical Company, Therry Dramatic Society, Emma Knights Productions and Davine Interventionz, amongst others. Her favourite roles include Wendla Bergman in Spring Awakening (HMC, 2017), Sally Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (HMC, 2015), Margot in Legally Blonde: The Musical (HMC, 2014) and Beth March in Little Women (Therry, 2013). She is a regular performer and occasional host of the popular event Broadway Sessions.
From 2013 to 2014 she studied at Graceland University, USA, on a vocal scholarship, where she was involved in a number of stage shows, most notably playing Audrey in the homecoming musical Little Shop of Horrors.
Mim is a singing teacher at Theatre Bugs and is looking forward to Musically Directing their production of Little Shop of Horrors in the Adelaide Fringe, March 2017. She is also an avid songwriter and lyricist and is planning to develop this aspect of her artistry in the near future.
Monica Horta is 18 years old and has just completed her year 12 at Woodcroft College and is beginning her first year of university this year. She has been performing on stage since she was 11 years old.
Monica has played many roles since then such as Rizzo in Grease, Morticia in Addams Family the Musical, Paulette in Legally Blonde and Vanessa in her school's production of In the Heights last year. In 2016, Monica travelled to America to perform on stages such as Universal Studios and Disneyland. In 2018 she performed in the Adelaide Fringe Festival as part of the South Australian premiere of Heathers the Musical as Heather Chandler.
Rebecca comes from a rich musical heritage and has been performing for most of her life. Versatile in her style she enjoys performing in all musical genres which has led to her performing as a soloist with many different groups and for varying audiences. She has been a leading soloist with Adelaide’s Soul Factor Gospel Choir for the past 16 years, performs regularly with her Sisters, The Raymond Sisters and for five years was the vocal soloist with the Melbourne Staff Band with whom she toured Australia, Korea and the UK where she had the privilege of singing in the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Rebecca performs corporately as a Singer and Actor. Appearing as a soloist at varying events in Adelaide and Nationally and in Theatre. Memorable roles include the role of Violet Hilton in SideShow (2018) and Aida in Aida (2017) with Hills Musical Company, Sandra Bloom in Big Fish with Therry Dramatic Society (2016), Laurey in Oklahoma! The immersive farm experience with Emma Knights Productions (2016 & 2017), and Cosette in Les Misérables with the G&S Society (2008 & 2009).
When not performing Rebecca teaches singing, has her own Mary Kay Cosmetic business and is a makeup artist. She also teaches Skincare & Self Esteem classes in schools and groups in the community.
Ruby has been performing from a young age, receiving voice and acting training from industry professionals. She was in the ensemble of Thoroughly Modern Millie and Les Misérables presented by The Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Ruby also understudied the title role in Davine Interventionz Fringe production of Violet and performed in the ensemble. Ruby played Hodel in the Therry Dramatic Society's production of Fiddler on the Roof in 2017. Ruby's most challenging and rewarding production to date is Godspell, produced by Irregular Productions and Lydian Productions, where she was the soloist for "Turn Back, O Man". She is in her final year of a Bachelor of Education at Flinders University, specialising in Drama and Psychology, and teaches singing at Creative Academy of Performing Arts.
At 19, Scarlett has been passionate about performing since she was young. She began dancing at Barbara Jayne Dance Centre when she was 3 years old where she developed her singing and dancing skills for 13 years and has now begun focusing on her passion for musical theatre. Scarlett has recently graduated year 12 at Concordia College where she was and will continue to be taught by her singing teacher Rosie Hosking. Scarlett hopes to pursue musical theatre in the future.
With 16 years of combined performing experience, Scarlett's love for the stage has never ceased, with her most recent roles being Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray, and recently Campbell Davis in Pelican Production's production of Bring It On the Musical for which she received a TASA nomination for 'Best Youth Female Actor'. She has also most recently finished a performance season of Godspell with Lydian Productions and Irregular Productions.
Tash is a talented triple threat from the east coast of Australia. She started performing at the age of 3 and has not been able to stop since. Tash has received High Distinctions from Trinity College London in her ATCL in Musical Theatre. She has taught and performed musical theatre in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Sydney and all throughout NSW, QLD and New Zealand. Tash has most recently performed in It's Only Life (Davine Interventions) with the one and only John Bucchinno , and many more. Tash has loved every minute of her experiences and can not wait to have many, many more opportunities to make people laugh, feel and experience theatre.
Tegan has appeared in many amateur and professional shows since the age of nine, her favourite roles include Annie in Annie (Northern Light Theatre Co. – 1997), Lois/Bianca in Kiss Me Kate (MCMT- 2006 and Co Opera SA- 2007), and Ariel in Footloose (Matt Byrne Media – 2006), Holly in The Wedding Singer (Matt Byrne Media – 2008), Lucy T Slut in Avenue Q (Matt Byrne Media – 2011). More recently, Rizzo in Grease (The Met – 2013), Calamity Jane in Calamity Jane (MCMT- 2014), Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (Hills Musical Company – 2014) and Julia in The Wedding Singer (MCMT- 2015). She also co-wrote, choreographed and performed in the sold out season of Villain-Ville: A Musical Exploration of Villainy and Evil in the 2015 Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Tegan has worked around Adelaide as a show girl, promotional model, dancer, children’s show host and suit character performer for Essential Talent and had the opportunity to perform in Singapore with Ricarp in 2007. For five years Tegan worked at the Night Train as a lead performer in their Adult, Kids and touring show, The Rockaholics, and has been the lead singer for Adelaide corporate and Party Band Jungle Jooce for the past seven years. After completing a Drama degree and a B Ed at Flinders University she is currently a Performing Arts teacher. More recently Tegan played Amneris in the Hills Musical Company's May 2017 production of Aida and Princess Fiona in January 2018 in AYT's Shrek opposite her real life ogre, Andrew Crispe. In May this year she is looking forward to playing opposite Andrew again in the METs High Society as Tracy Samantha Lord.
Tielah is a full-time History student at the University of Adelaide who is working towards a Post-Grad degree and also pursues her passion for performing in whatever time she can scrape together. Her deep-rooted passion for musical theatre has lead to roles through many youth theatre productions, and a few South Coast Choral and Arts Society shows. She was head of the ensemble in SCCAS's production of Sweeney Todd and also played the role of Madame Fogg: the keeper of the asylum. Her most recent role was in SCCAS's production of Cinderella and the Pirates playing Captain Blackbeard (written by director Jonathan Ogilvie).
Trevor hasn't been particularly active in the theatre community of late, having only performed in Pretty Boys in the 2017 Adelaide Fringe Festival since returning from interstate a few years ago. In the meantime, he has been busying himself with the Festival Statesmen Chorus, performing a variety of a cappella music. Highlights have included singing back-up for Adele, performing with Rob Mills and headlining the National Choral Festival in the past 12 months.
Trevor's theatre credits include Avenue Q (Matt Byrne Media), Curtains and Anything Goes (Therry), Orpheus in the Underworld and HMS Pinnafore (G&S SA), and Gypsy and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (MS Society). Trevor's most recent theatre engagement was working on Promise Adelaide's 2017 production of All Is Calm which will be his musical directing debut; where he is excited to be combining his love of musical theatre and acapella together.
As a child, you could always find William screaming into his SingStar microphone and dancing to High School Musical. These habits evolved into Williams love for singing and dancing. William was very slow to get into the musical theatre world, only finding his love for musicals when he was 16 when his best friend Arianne showed him a little musical called The Book of Mormon.
William has only been involved in one musical so far: Marie Clarke Musical Theatre's production of Jekyll and Hyde. William portrayed several important characters including "Angry Man 1", "Rich Man" and "Scared Man #2".
