October Session: A Trick or Treat Spooktacular

31 Sunday October 2021
When: 6:30pm Where: Norwood Live, Norwood Hotel Tickets: $15-20

About this Session

This month's Session falls on Halloween, for the first time EVER. Halloween (a contraction of "All Hallows' evening") is a celebration observed in many countries on 31 October, dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed.

Trick-or-treating is a traditional Halloween custom. Children in costumes travel from house to house, asking for treats with the phrase "trick or treat". The "treat" is usually some form of candy. The "trick" refers to a threat, usually idle, to perform mischief on the homeowner or their property if no treat is given.

Tonight, we're welcoming performers to sing songs from musicals that are spooky, scary, murderous, villainous (or potentially, full of tricksters!). We encourage you, as audience members, to get into the spirit of the evening and come dressed in a Halloween outfit of some kind, and prizes will be awarded for best dressed in a number of categories (for both performers and audience alike).

This is sure to be a month to remember, so join us... but is it trick, or treat?
